So many of us (myself included!) struggle with self-esteem. The idea that we are worth esteeming, valuing, feeling proud of – we haven’t been taught to do that. A lot of us were taught to focus on self-improvement, making ourselves "better." We were taught to focus on what’s “wrong” with us and largely ignore anything else. But even people who weren’t taught to focus on being better can have low self-esteem. There are so many reasons we don’t value ourselves.
